America here I come!

Im going to go to America this Summer after I finish college. I'm going to go for one year anyway, maybe more, who knows! Not sure what the plan of action is yet, although I do know that absolutly nothing can stop this from happening! Wahey the excitment.

I will be finished college in June so as far as I'm concerned we can go anytime ("we" because I'm going with others too). However, my mother is disappointed because i.ll miss my graduation, I'm not too bothered because I have already graduated once but she sees it as "the big one" (think she's more excited about it than I am)!

Anyway, I need to decide where exactly I'm going to go and for how long, decisions decisions!

Alan Carr: Live at the Apollo

My god have you seen it? It is so funny. I watched it a couple of nights ago with some of my friends. He has to be one of the best comedians going! Although, if you're easily offended, it's advised that you don't watch it, he absolutly slates some people . . . . and places! Fat people, skinny people, homeless people, people stricken by famine, you name it, they all got it!

He actually had a bit of a gag about the mobile network 3 aswell, something that i am very hung up on at the moment! Thank god I'm not the only one that wants to let off a bit of steam about them, anyway, thats not what this is about!

Anyway, yeah, just wanted to say how funny I thought the show was, it comes highly recommended by me! As the title says, it's called Alan Carr: Live at the Apollo.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Mobile Network 3 - Arrrrgh >:(

I'v got a bit of a situation at the moment. A few months ago I decided I needed a new phone, something I do quite regularly, I think its because I always want the latest of everything, but thats not the point!

Anyway, I wanted this new phone. I was already with vodafone and with 3 being a new network and all the buzz about it, I decided to investigate further. I went into my local 3 store and got all of the information that I thought would be relevant. I discovered that if I switched networks, I would get the usual €100 or so free call credit, would be able to keep my old number and would benefit hugely in terms of the cost of calls and texts. According to Network 3, they have 87% video service coverage all around Ireland and 99.5% calls and text service coverage. This was all great and needless to say, I then switched to 3. Check out the "coverage" section of their website three.ie

Once I get set up, I discover that you will have full coverage 95% of the time, but there's one catch, you must live in the middle of town, something which they obviously failed to tell me. This is where I get annoyed, it's fine when i'm at college but when I do make the journey home, I lose contact with everybody. Sure enough, my calls and texts are much cheaper, this is of course if I have coverage to send them!

I'm seriously thinking about switching back to Vodafone but just can't let go of the cheap calls and texts. Since I moved to 3, I have been saving at least €20 a month on mobile top-up (maybe because I don't have the coverage to make calls!). Anyway I don't know what to do, suppose we'll see what time brings!
